About Mauro

Mauro co-founded Taleva after seeing the gap between what recruiters need and what existing sourcing tools deliver. At Gartner, he had a front-row seat to how AI was transforming talent acquisition across industries. He saw that most recruiting tools were retrofitting AI onto old architectures, rather than building natively for how recruiters actually work. That insight became the foundation for Taleva.

At Taleva, he focuses on AI-powered sourcing for talent acquisition agencies and headhunters. The platform provides person-level talent insights and automated candidate ranking across 15+ sources, replacing the manual, fragmented workflows that still dominate the European recruiting industry.

What sets Mauro apart in the HR tech space is his combination of industry insight and data expertise. His time at Gartner gave him deep understanding of enterprise technology adoption patterns in talent acquisition. At Cobee, he worked directly with HR teams on their biggest talent attraction challenges, learning the pain points from the buyer's side. And his Master's in Business Intelligence and Big Data at UOC (ongoing) ensures his approach to recruiting is grounded in data, not assumptions.

He helped bootstrap Taleva from zero to five-figure monthly revenue in just four months, using cold calling as the primary growth channel. That scrappy, execution-first approach defines how the company operates: build something useful, get it into recruiters' hands, and iterate based on real feedback.

Mauro holds a BBA from Esade (ranked in the 1st quartile by GPA), with an exchange at Singapore Management University. He's certified in IBM Data Analytics, Bloomberg Market Concepts, and DeFi Infrastructure from Duke. He also finished the Ironman Calella-Barcelona in October 2025, which says something about his approach to long-term goals.
