About Marcos

Marcos is the technical force behind Taleva. He designed and built the AI search engine that aggregates data from 20+ sources, understands natural language candidate descriptions, and ranks results by fit. When a recruiter types "senior backend engineer with fintech experience in Berlin who speaks German" and gets a ranked shortlist in seconds, that's his system at work.

His authority in this space comes from a rare combination: elite AI and ML training at Imperial College London, combined with real startup building experience. Before Taleva, he built an education software product from scratch as a solo founder, handling everything from the technical stack to business operations. He grew it to six-figure annual recurring revenue through pure product-led growth, with no outside funding and no team. That experience of building a product people actually pay for, at scale, informs every technical decision he makes at Taleva.

At Imperial College, Marcos specialized in Computing with AI and Machine Learning, giving him deep expertise in the exact technologies that power modern recruiting tools: semantic search, natural language processing, and large-scale data systems. He applies this daily at Taleva, where search optimization and result ranking are the core of the product.

He also interned at Touchstream in Barcelona, working on technical infrastructure for video stream monitoring and analytics, adding production-grade systems engineering to his skillset.

Marcos graduated as Valedictorian from Benjamin Franklin International School with a 44/45 on the International Baccalaureate, one of the highest scores possible.

He writes about the technical side of AI recruiting: how search systems actually work, what makes candidate ranking algorithms effective, the data behind sourcing strategies, and why the recruiting industry is being reshaped by the same AI infrastructure that transformed e-commerce and advertising.
